Our stock
The Performing Arts service supplies vocal scores, orchestral sets and play sets to organisations throughout Hertfordshire and beyond. The collections comprise over 60,000 vocal scores, 1,400 orchestral sets and 17,000 play copies. Membership is free, with charges for set hire. Music and play sets can be reserved, collected, and returned at any of our 46 public libraries across Hertfordshire.
Hertfordshire library customers can also borrow a wide range of music, books and plays on their library cards, and all our stock is available to be viewed in our Performing Arts Showroom, open 6 days a week.

A step by step guide to the service is available on our website. If you are unable to locate the title you are looking for do contact us, or alternatively, submit an Inter-Library Loan request via your HPALS account. We are part of the Inter-Library Loan scheme which shares resources with Libraries across the UK. We’ll do our best to help you find the resources you require.
For the loan of single items, Hertfordshire Libraries has an extensive collection. These resources are available to browse and borrow with a standard library card.
